Mane 6 Engraved Pendants Version 1 -- [link]

************************************************

I got a new camera and I'm still practicing with the thing...

These pendants of the Mane 6 are hand engraved. Allow me to specify what that means ^^; These pendants were not acid etched, carved out with machinery, or mass produced in a factory. they were all hand engraved by me. Hand engraving metal is a tedious practice that takes time and patience to master. It can also be a frustrating process because one slip of the tool and your piece is ruined, and right to the scrap pile it goes....Believe me, I know all to well ._.

Each one took anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour to make.

The pendants are made of stainless steel, and hang on black leather cords that measure 18" with a 2" extension. The round pendants meaure 1.15 inches in diameter, and the rectangular pendants measure 1.55 inches in length, and 1.05 inches in width.

These pendants can be purchased in my etsy shop: [link]
My Etsy shop is updated every Monday at 8:30pm Central Time, so if any of these pendants are currently unavailable, just check back after that day and time.

Love these. My eye always goes to Twilight first, and I like this way better than the v1 pose. I also still love the custom one I commissioned from you, and have gotten many, MANY compliments on it. Keep up the fantastic work!

I know exactly what you are talking about, in a roundabout way. I sometimes have to rescribe panel lines on a model kit, which can end up running into thousands of panel lines (take a close look at the Imperial Star Destroyer sometime; that's a project I'm intimidated to start solely because of the scribing). Plastic is slightly more forgiving than metal, but not by much. Sure, you can fill in the mistake with putty and rescribe, but if the slip-up is too close to the original the difference in hardness between the putty and the plastic will cause your scriber to slip again.

I was wondering what you used to transfer the art to the metal, though. Do you use some sort of decal, or is it all done solely by looking at references and trying to copy them on the pendent?
